It has been a couple of weeks since I have posted on my blog at Tim Shirley.com and I have been working on a lot of things since then.  I have been trying to move towards my goal of being a full time Internet Marketer, by 08/02/13, with small steps everyday.  There is so MUCH information out there it is really confusing at times.  I know it is absolutely necessary to develop a plan and focus entirely upon that plan.  That is easier said than done with all the “Gurus” out there claiming that their new product is the one missing component to my success.  I will not go into everything that I have tried and been distracted by, what I will do is talk about the steps I have been taking that I feel are going to eventually make my business profitable.

ThinkingPositiveThoughts.com is my main squeeze page I am working on getting traffic to it.  I have added a blog to it at ThinkingPosititveThoughts.com/Blog in every post I have included and opt-in form for my positive thinking list.  What I am currently offering as incentive to Join my list is:  Free weekly newsletter on positive thinking, As A Man Thinketh Ebook by James Allen and An Ebook I wrote on positive thinking.  I am thinking about creating a four week video mini course on positive thinking and including that as well.

Once someone subscribes to my list I will make it my mission to provide them with only the best content possible.  Any and all marketing to them will be held to a minimum and it will be of the highest quality.

This list is where I anticipate the bulk of my revenue to be generated, so I will treat it with care.

Declutter Fast Review is a WordPress review site that I created to market the product Declutter Fast.  Not really expecting to make more than 100 dollars a month off the site but it has served as good practice for me on creating a review site and working on getting it ranked in Google.  This is a process that I plan on replicating over and over.  The key component with with these type of  sites are getting them ranked above the actual website for the product which is not easy for me, yet.  I can envision this monetization model being very successful to me the next year or so down the road.

Hey Folks I have a million of these because after all it is a digital product that you are going to download to your computer and truth be told it is probably worth the $7  I am asking for it.  To make it seem like I am giving you a deal I am going to start at $47 and strike through the prices until I actually get a fair one.

You market a product like that and I will be the first in line to buy it!

Please do not think I am saying that building a list is not the way to go.  I personally believe that it is the best way to run a profitable Internet Marketing Business.  All I am saying is that I cannot stand all these self proclaimed gurus running off at the mouth about this SUPER SECRET NINJA TRICK that I stole from the desk of a reclusive billonaire.

Does anyone else hate the phrase Ninja Trick or Ninja Technique.  Your not a real ninja so stop referring to your ideas as ninja.

So how hard can it be to get a little honesty in Internet Marketing.

Today I am going to be practicing embedding video into my blog.  The video I have chosen really has nothing at all to do with Internet Marketing.  It is actually of my two oldest sons competting against one another for first place in a karate tournament, April 2010.

This was done by using short code if you watch the videos you will see that there are no related videos at the end.  Also there is shortcode to adjust the height and width of the video.
