This list is where I anticipate the bulk of my revenue to be generated, so I will treat it with care.

Declutter Fast Review is a WordPress review site that I created to market the product Declutter Fast.  Not really expecting to make more than 100 dollars a month off the site but it has served as good practice for me on creating a review site and working on getting it ranked in Google.  This is a process that I plan on replicating over and over.  The key component with with these type of  sites are getting them ranked above the actual website for the product which is not easy for me, yet.  I can envision this monetization model being very successful to me the next year or so down the road.

Have been every since I was a little boy.

Sundays during football season in the Shirley household revolve around two things.

1. Church
2. The Indianapolis Colts

It’s not always in that order either

Don’t bother me when the colts are playing unless you are ready to scrap!

With my household consisting of Amber, myself and our five boys it can get pretty raucous!

So…. (Crazy rant to follow)

Yesterday was HORRIBLE!  I don’t understand what in the world happened to them.  I understand that Peyton Manning is hurt and when you lose the greatest quarterback in history the offense is not going to flow quite as well.

But what about the defense!!  It looked like the Texans where playing against a high school team not one of the best teams of the 21st century!

Yes, the defense did play better in the second half and the offensive line was able to give Kerry Collins some time to find an open man.  They did move the ball pretty good a couple of times and even probably should have scored another touchdown.

Note to Austin Collie:  I don’t care if Amber loves you.  Get your @#$% foot down in-bounds!!!  (back to the defense)

Hey guys you see that guy with Texans jersey on running right past you!

TACKLE HIM!!!!

I understand why the offense took a while to find it’s rhythm.

I understand that there was a shorter period of time to get ready for the season due the the lock-out.  But that didn’t seem to affect the Texans.

OK with all of that being said I will still be watching come Sunday at 1pm.

Squeeze page: They need to be simple.  People do not have the time or desire to read this long rambling page.  A lot of squeeze pages that I have seen lately are quite simple.  A header,  A footer and a video presentation sandwiched in between.   If video still eludes you check out this example of a simple but effective squeeze page.ThinkingPositiveThoughts.com

   It has an eye catching headline!

   It tells people what I have to offer them.

   It tells them why they need to have it.

   It tells them how to get it.

   And…

   It’s SIMPLE!

    

2. Thank you page: A thank you page is the page that someone gets sent to right after they sign up for your list.

   It Says something like.

   Thank you for accepting my free offers!  I am sending you an email right now so please go check it and do what it says.  This is to make sure you actually want these fantastic gifts.  Once you confirm through the email you will be sent to a download page where you will have immediate access to all the outstanding free stuff I am giving you!

    

3. Auto Responder: Once some one sees my download page and checks their email this is when the auto responder takes over.

   An auto responder is an email marketing tool used to immediately provide information to a member of your list and  then to follow up with them on preset intervals.

4. Download page: Exactly What it sounds like.Once they click the link in the Aweber confirmation email they are sent to a download page that gives them access the the free gifts.

   They right click then download or they can access them via the web. 

5. Newsletter: A content filled, niche specific weekly newsletter is important because it helps to build a positive relationship between you and your list.

   It helps them to see that you care about them and are concerned about more than just making a sale.

   Which you should be!

   Do not focus on money!

   Focus on how you can add value to their lives!

   Once they know you care then they will be willing to part with some of their hard earned money!

My first step was to learn the steps to creating a website and why I should even do this.  What I discovered was that the to make money online you have to BUILD YOUR LIST. That should be why your website exists!  To do this I discovered  all I need is  a one page website called a squeeze page.

A squeeze page is simply a one page website created for the sole purpose of obtaining opt-in subscribers to whatever you are offering.

Building Your List!

A few things a squeeze page is not.

1. A sales page:   Do not try to sale on your squeeze page!
2. A billboard:  The purpose is to build your list not to explain how awesome you are!
3. Long:  K.I.S.S!  Keep it simple stupid people do not have time to read through a twenty minute rambling letter to see what you have to offer!

2. Demand- It is important that there be a high demand for what you are giving a way
3. Monetize-ability- You have to be able to make money!

It was all about family and fun!

We all went to Fort Harrison state park and went hiking.  The boys had a lot of fun.  We did the 2 mile Lawrence Creek trail it was categorized as moderate.  The two younger ones got to ride in there fancy radio flyer wagon.  Which meant that mommy and daddy had to pull them on the trails.  Amber was kind enough to give me the uphill portion of the trails.  Ha Ha!  Once finished hiking we threw the football around a little and then headed for home.  All five crashed in the van on the way home.  All in all it was a very good day.  Cannot wait until they all can be like this.

Tomorrow I am going to talk about my two websites and the process I have taken to get these online.

I suppose I should start by explaining who I am and why you should care

My name as the title of the website implies is Tim Shirley.

I am the father of five fantastic boys!  Yes I know that is a lot!!

All my free time is wrapped up in them and their activities.  As it should be.

As a family we struggle to pay our bills and put food on the table on my salary alone and Amber getting a job would cost us way to much in daycare expenses.

So we make do.

We have what we need.  A roof over our head.  Food for us and our kids.

But that is about it.  And..

This was good enough for a while but for about the past three months I have been discontent.  I have struggled with the fact that I cannot give my kids and Amber everything they deserve.  Don’t get me wrong we are not greedy people but we would like to be able to take a vacation as a family.  Perhaps buy all our kids some new shoes without having to worry if we will be able to eat after we do it.

Please don’t think I am complaining or having a pity party because this is far from the truth.

This is about an awakening!

My awakening!  Let me explain…

Recently I have been reading about a few things online.  Mostly it boils down to personal responsibility and the fact that I have created my life the way it is and only I can change it.

So that brings me to here and now and my path to change.

I realize that I am responsible for my life and the lives of those closest to me.  So I choose to make it better by any means necessary.

I have chosen internet marketing.  I understand it is not get rich quick but I believe that if I take my time and learn everything necessary to be successful and then apply this consistently with a lot of persistence and an open mind I will succeed.

So with that in mind I went looking for a mentor someone who has been there and done that.  But most importantly someone who can teach others to do it as well.  Just because someone has been successful online does not me mean they automatically know how to to tech others to do the same.  So here is what I have found.
